Project "Artificial lighting. Clara and Rose"- a reference to one of the most common artistic discourses of recent decades: it is the topic of gender mythology. Taking into account all shaped and conceptual relevance of the topic, the participants of the project is to be focused precisely on those aspects of it that are associated with the influence of the mass – media.
According to its double name, the project "Artificial lighting. Clara Rose" referenced to two aspects: the first – the artificial light , second – the "media – light", which reflects, represents and creates myths, second – historical figures Clara Zetkin and Rosa Luxemburg – mythological figures, but controversial, who, unlike their contemporaries (Emma Goldman, Simone de Beauvoir) cause now more skepticism than admiration. Appealing specifically to this particular figures is a provocation and an attempt to join the "factual material" era as well, which (whether we realize it or not) affected all of us.
Author photo – project by the artist Nicholas Botvinnik "Rosenhaus", which demonstrates his own view of women – women artists participating in the exhibition, is also exhibited in the framework of the exhibition also.
