Ivan Misko was born February 22, 1932 in the village of Chemery Slonim Grodno region. He attended a course-Union House of Folk Arts named N. Krupskaya in Moscow, Minsk Art School at Igor Glebov and Viktor Popov, the Belarusian State Theater – Art Institute at Andrey Bembel and Alexei Glebov.), . I. Misko since 1965 – Member of the Artists Union of the BSSR.
Ivan Misko – Honored Artist of the Byelorussian SSR, People's Artist of Belarus, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, awarded the Medal of the Order of Skarina of Yuri Gagarin.
Creativity of Belarusian sculptor Ivan Misko is well known not only in our country but also far beyond its borders. It is often called "cosmic" sculptor. It is no coincidence: the theme of space – one of the priorities in his work. He is author of a of gallery of sculptural portraits of prominent representatives of the profession. Among them – almost all of the astronauts of the former Soviet Union, including Belarusians – Vladimir Kovalenok Klimuk and Peter, as well as representatives from different countries who were on orbit.
